Another 3 Advices, this time: Student version!
7th: If you didn't do the reading, make a general comment or ask a general question early in the class (e.g. "Could you be more specific/clarify what you just said, Thomas?"). Doing so avoids the problem of being conspicuously silent and also reduces the chances that the teacher will call on you later.
8th: If you use one very solid source on your research paper go to wikipedia, check for your Topic and use it's source's bibliography. This will make your teacher think "Hey he used a lot of different sources instead of just using wikipedia as the other kids".
9th: You are wrtiting a paper and you need to send it to your professor but you didn't finish yet? No Problem: Grab a jpg, mp3 or some other media file and rename it to .doc and send to professor. The "paper" will look "corrupt" and you will have to resend it to your prof. saving you one or two days.
